RED-GIANT CRINUM LILY

Magnificent specimen plant reaching sizes in excess of 6’ tall and 4’ wide. Broad, strap-like leaves are a beautiful wine/magenta color, back-drop to exotic, large, pink spider-like flowers. This plant is so spectacular, it’s used in city and commercial plantings as a specimen accent. Leaves will be damaged in mild frost, and temperatures at 25 degrees or colder can be lethal to the whole plant. Excellent in full sun, or substantial shade, and does best in Coastal, or Coastal-Inland environments. Flowers are produced during the warm months. Excellent subject plant for very large containers and pots. Pruning off the entire rosette of leaves occasionally is a good maintenance protocol, as new leaves emerge, fresh and beautiful, in as little as a few weeks.
