A large, cold-sensitive species of Ixora from South Pacific islands, 'Super King' (Ixora casei) reaches 10 feet in height in bright shade, though it tolerates full sun with extra irrigation. Its clusters of scarlet flowers are displayed throughout the warm season. Provide moist, moderately enriched and heavily mulched sites protected from north and northwest winds. Propagate with warm-season cuttings.
