Lamprohaminoea cymbalum (Quoy & Gaimard, 1833)

Snails genus Haminoeidae lives in warm or temperate seas.They have a bubble shaped shell.Therefore it is called bubble snail.All Haminoeidae snails are herbivorous. Species feed on a various kinds of green algaes.

Lamprohaminoea cymbalum has a strongly inflated transparent,bluish-green shell with bright orange spots.It have never purple spots, such as Haminoea ovalis and other Haminoea species.This bubble snail can be found in rocky habitats in tide pools.
