Conchodytes meleagrinae Peters, 1852

Conchodytes meleagrinae lives within the shell of pearl oysters, Pinctada margaritifera, Pinctada maxima and Pinctada radiata. Rare Spondylus associated specimens regards as a host-related (colour)morph of Conchodytes meleagrinae.

This small shrimp is parasitized by Schizobopyrina miyakei (Shiino 1942).
