I picked up this beauty from the LFS 2 days ago. Its about 13" in diameter. Never seen a purple leather before. Was hoping some more experienced reefers could give me some insight to what its official name might be and what I might be able to expect (Will it end up changing color, polyp length, ect...)?

This is a Sarcophyton species :)
‘Toadstool’ isn’t really specific and can link into 3-4 different genera (Sarcophyton, Lobophytum, Sinularia, Capnella and more)

it's in the sarcophyton genus. with over 50 different species which all look quite similar, one way to differentiate species is the disk shape, this one looks a bit like Sarcophyton glaucum to me but growth patterns vary with the location of where it was collected.
