Alpinia is a genus of plants, with more than 230 species from the Ginger family. Alpinia vittata is commonly known as striped narrow leaf ginger. This gingerwort from the South Sea Islands having stems about a yard high furnished with pale-green lance-shaped leaves striped with creamy white.

Site: Does best in full sunlight coming and high humidity. Temperatur­e: 60-85°F. Water: Keep the soil evenly moist and use warm water.
