This vine-like plant has stems displaying green leaves tinted purple underneath. Leaves turn bronze or purple in autumn. Purple-tinged, tubular-shaped flowers are white inside and very fragrant. Used in erosion control, on arbors, lattice, on trellises and as a ground cover. Birds eat the seeds.
