We love all the shapes and colors of the willow family, but this one is our favorite oddball. Ramshorn Willow has fabulous tightly curled silver-green leaves. The tiny curls are best observed at close range, but they add a wonderful (if subtle) texture to the landscape.
'Crispa' can grow into a very large tree - up to 30 ft high and wide - or it can be coppiced to maintain a short, bushy plant. The last photo shows our two year old shrub, which we cut back to the ground each spring.
