Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Small sedge with clumping growth habit.
Foliage Stiff, narrow leaves are light green to green.
Flowers Brownish flowers are clustered together in a round, ball-like inflorescence.
Cultivation The plant will have a shorter stature under full sun than semi-shaded conditions. Feed lightly, as excessive fertilization produces unnaturally long leaves. Apply a diluted solution of fertilizer (third to half the recommended concentration) to the leaves monthly and a small amount of slow release fertilizer biannually.
