Black Magic Elephant Ear ( Colocasia esculenta ' Black Magic ' )

Colocasia esculenta ' Black Magic ' is deep purple leaves supported on strong stems of the same color.

Colocasia esculenta ' Black Magic '  has burgundy stems with leaves that depending on the amount of sunlight the taro is getting can range from green to a dark plum color appears black.

It's  leaves are heart shaped grow up to 3 feet in length. This taro grows about 2' to 3' tall and performs best when planted in partial shade, although it will tolerate full sun.

It is a perfect accent plant for the edge of the pond. In cold regions, over winter as a houseplant or lift tubers and store in a frost free area.
