TONGUE CORAL

Common on sand or rubble on reef flats, slopes, and lagoons.  Slipper, V- or Y-shaped with a central groove containing many mouths, with additional mouths scattered toward the margins, septa short and irregular, brown with pale tentacles.  Red Sea to Okinawa and Pitcairn.
