Capra hircus girgentana
No english wiki page, so here is a translation from the dutch wiki page:
The Girgentana goat (Capra hircus girgentana) is a breed of goats, which origin dates from the Italian province of Agrigento in Sicily. The city of Agrigento was called until 1929 Girgenti and its the breed is named. The origin of the breed is unknown. A striking feature of the animals constitute the horns, which are - in contrast to most other varieties goats - tightened, and the trestle in a length of 80 cm can be achieved. This has led to suspicions that the Girgentana-breed descended from the Central Asian screw horn goat (Capra falconeri). However, his horns are spirally outwards, while the Girgentana goats horns turn inwards.
The domestic goat is a subspecies of goat domesticated from the wild goat of southwest Asia and Eastern Europe. The goat is a member of the family Bovidae and is closely related to the sheep as both are in the goat-antelope subfamily Caprinae.
