Dahlia Hybrid - Dahlia x cultorum I&#039;m not sure what hybrid this is. The flowers are yellow with red discs and the foliage is dark purple/blackish.<br />

Dahlia Hybrid - Dahlia x cultorum

I'm not sure what hybrid this is. The flowers are yellow with red discs and the foliage is dark purple/blackish.

  1. My guess is Dahlia x cultorum, or that is what Pl@ntnet strongly suggests. For good reason, as it shows various photos like yours, with the purple foliage included.

    However, when you search for this hybrid on the open web, you get all kinds of stuff that seems misidentified at large scale.

    1. Thanks, that does look like a good match. I have been trying to figure out what these flowers were since spring. They are planted in a 'native' plant butterfly garden, which is full of NON-NATIVE plants. Posted 3 years ago
