Smeringopus pallidus This spider was living in a bookcase I had stored in the garage. I carefully coaxed it out because I wanted to bring the bookcase into the house. It has a ball of white eggs. The color on the abdomen has yellow marketings even though it shows up here looking like white. <br />

Smeringopus pallidus is a cellar spider in the Smeringopus genus. Appearance: Roundish, truncate behind, extending downward in front of eyes. Two vertical brown lines below eyes in front, brown median band from eyes to rear margin, brown lateral margins. ABDOMEN: Elongate, twice or more as long as wide, with median rows of paired brown spots forming incomplete chevrons, and lateral row of about four brown arcs on each side.
