Chonemorpha fragrans is one of the most beautiful tropical vines with lush leaves and large fragrant, white flowers. In the tropics it is semi-deciduous, in cooler climates it will lose it leaves in winter.
This is a really beautiful climber and will give a tropical feel to your garden. It has large leaves, bright green with a bronze hue when young, maturing to a deep green. During summer it produces masses of white, frangipani-like, fragrant flowers.
It is a vigorous climber, the height it reaches will depend on the height of the support it has. In the tropics it is know to grow into tall trees, in sub-tropical gardens the growth height tends to be determined by the support. Make sure that the structure you are planning to grow it against is very sturdy and able to take the weight of the plant. It grows well against walls, fences, pillars and pergolas.
