Chlorophytum comosum 'Ocean' houseplant
  • Chlorophytum comosum 'Ocean' is a cultivar of Chlorophytum comosum (Thunb.) Jacques., also called Spider Plant, produces shorter, wider variegated leaves, giving it a spiky appearance. Pointed ribbon leaves display green center stripes edged in ivory white. Pendant stems dangle young plantlets or white star flowers over the pot edge. The cascading foliage looks best in a raised container or hanging basket.

     

    The etymological root of the binomial name Chlorophytum is derived from the Greek chloros meaning 'green' and phyton meaning 'plant'. Comosum is derived from the Greek kome menaing 'tuft of hairs'.

    • Chlorophytum comosum 'Ocean' comes in following sizes:

      baby (XS) -  is ca. 10 cm tall and comes in a ⌀ 6 cm pot.

      S - is ca. 20 cm tall and comes in a ⌀ 12 cm pot.

      M - is ca. 30 cm tall and comes in a ⌀ 15 cm pot.

      L - is ca. 30 cm tall and comes in a ⌀ 17 cm pot.
