The Pachira Aquatica Braided Stem which is sometimes known as the ‘Money Tree’, ‘Guiana Chestnut’ or the ‘Sable Nut’. This plant is known for being perfect for first time plant owners due to it being very low maintenance. The Pachira Aquatica requires very little direct sunlight, over exposure will result in burnt leaves.
This tree thrives in swamps and wetlands due to its tropical nature, moist soil is crucial in keeping this plant healthy. South Americans grow these plants for their edible nuts. The most obvious and distinct feature of the Pachira Aquatica is its braided stem, the top of the trunk accommodates large green leaves.
