Brazilian Joyweed is a fast and easy growing plant. Cuttings root easily and it will also self-seed. It will grow as a perennial in zones 9 and above. It is tolerant of almost every light and soil condition provided there is adequate drainage. Color is deeper in full sun.

It can easily grow to be about 3 ft tall, sometimes more. This is a beautiful accent or contrast against typical green plants. White flowers bloom throughout the year.

Joyweed can be cooked and eaten similar to spinach. It has a history of possible beneficial uses.
