Listing is for an at least 3-4” cutting of Halimeda opuntia
Description:
Halimeda opuntia is a heavily calcified macroalgae that creeps or carpets along rockwork in the aquarium. This species is very unpalatable to most marine fish and invertebrates, and most fish (with the exception of some large tangs) will not bother this species. You should research your livestock and compatibility prior to purchasing. Halimeda opuntia, as with most calcareous algae species, require elevated calcium levels in the aquarium. We keep our Halimeda species at around 400-450ppm. It is a somewhat slow grower, but if calcium levels are right, it will grow at a moderate pace.
—————————————————————————
*Halimeda species will often turn white/pale in shipping and should color back up to a bright/olive green within a couple of days after acclimation. *

*THIS SPECIES IS SAFE TO SHIP TO CALIFORNIA
*DO NOT RELEASE MACRO ALGAE AND DISPOSE OF IT RESPONSIBLY
*This species will be shipped loose & can be attached to rock work with superglue or zip-ties
