Canary Islands and present punctually in Western Europe. This fern is mainly tropical and subtropical.

Distribution in the Canary Islands

Northeast, East and Center of La Palma, North and Center of La Gomera, Northwest, North and Northeast of Tenerife, and North of Gran Canaria.

Origin

Habitat

It is located on cliffs and humid walls of riverside and laurisilva forests and thickets of tabaibal-cardonal and thermophilic forests. Also on terraces and basalt walls of banana plantations, roads and wet slopes, as well as in degraded willows. (Bañares et al., 2004)
