Ocean to the Southwest, South, Southeast and East of El Hierro, South, Southwest and North of La Gomera, Northwest, West, Southwest, South and Southeast of Tenerife, South, Southwest, Northwest, North and Northeast of Gran Canaria, West of Fuerteventura and Southeast of Lanzarote.

Habitat

They prefer tropical, subtropical, warm and warm waters (16 - 20º C). The smallest form of this species usually prefers waters close to the coast and the continental shelf. (NOAA, 2015)
