2009, Flora of Peninsular Malaysia Online Newsletter Vol. 29/3
Worldwide, Utricularia punctata occurs in lakes, swamps and slow-flowing rivers from Myanmar to China and Borneo. In Peninsular Malaysia, it is only known from Tasek Bera, Tasek Cini, the backwaters of Sg. Pahang and Kota Tinggi. Unlike the common Floating Bladderwort, Utricularia aurea, U. punctata has never been observed to colonise disturbed or man-made habitats, although it is a sun-loving species and is found abundantly in the slow-flowing parts of Tasek Bera, the largest natural lake in the peninsula.

Medicinal and Environmental Indicator Species of Utricularia from Montane Forest of Peninsular Malaysia2012 •
The carnivorous Utricularia (Lentibulariaceae) is a small herb of multifarious wet habitats worldwide. Eleven of the 14 Peninsular Malaysian species range into the mountains. Distribution, disturbance adaptability and collection frequency were used to formulate their commonness category. Common (U. aurea, U. bifida, and U. minutissima) and fairly common (U. gibba and U. uliginosa) species are mostly lowland plants that ascend to open montane microhabitats, while the fairly common (U. striatula), narrow-range (U. caerulea pink form and U. involvens), rare (U. furcellata and U. scandens), and endemic (U. vitellina) species are restricted to mountainous sites. Common species that colonise dystrophic to oligotrophic man-made sites in late succession could serve as predictors for general health and recovery of wet habitats. Rarer species are often locally abundant, their niches situated around pristine forest edges. When in decline, they indicate the beginning of problems affecting the forest. Utricularia is reportedly nutritious, mildly astringent, and diuretic. Preadapted to nutrient-poor, waterlogged soils, U. bifida is suitable as an alternative for small-scale herb cultivation on low pH, wet poor soils usually deemed not suitable for any crops.

Confirmation of Utricularia Australis Occurrence in Lithuania2013 •
Sinkevičienė Z., 2013: Confirmation of Utricularia australis occurrence in Lithuania [Utricularia australis auga ir Lietuvoje]. - Bot. Lith., 19(2): 161-164. Occurrence of Utricularia australis R. Br. on the territory of Lithuania was confirmed by finding it in Lake Kampinis, Varėna district municipality. Morphological differences between similar species U. australis and Utricularia vulgaris as well as species composition of the association Utricularietum australis and accompanying communities are presented and discussed.

A taxonomic account of eight species of Utricularia Linn. viz. U. aurea Lour., U. bifida Lin., U. caerulea Linn., U. gibba Linn., U. inflexa Forsk., U. minutissima Vahl, U. scandens Benj. and U. stellaris L. f. has been provided from Bangladesh. An updated nomenclature including important synonyms, habitat and distribution have been furnished under each species. A key has also been given for easy identification of the species. Ecological study of the aquatic carnivorous plant Utricularia australis R.Br. (Lentibulariaceae)2020 •
A new species of Utricularia (Lentibulariaceae) is recognised for north-eastern Western Australia. A description of Utricularia baliboongarnang Baleeiro & R.W.Jobson is provided along with a new circumscription for the Northern Territory species U. singeriana F.Muell. to which it was previously assigned. We also provide comparison with U. hamiltonii F.E.Lloyd.; a Northern Territory species for which U. baliboongarnang was recently found to be the phylogenetic sister, and the distantly related western Kimberley species U. byrneana R.W.Jobson & Baleeiro of which it superficially shares a similar corolla. Diagnostic features are illustrated, and distribution, habitat, and conservation status are discussed.

Differentiation of Utricularia ochroleuca and U. stygia populations in Trebon basin, Czech Republic, on the basis of quadrifid glands2007 •
Utricularia ochroleuca R. Hartm. is an amphibious/aquatic carnivorous plant occurring relatively rarely throughout Europe and North America in peat bogs and shallow standing dystrophic waters. This species rarely flowers, is sterile, and is possibly of hybridogenic origin (i.e. U. minor × U. intermedia).
