So I decided to plant a lucky seed tree as well.
Yellow oleander (Cascabela thevetia) is also known as lucky seed or lucky nut because the shape resembles a fortune cookie. It is also known as “be still plant” as all parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested.
It comes in two varieties, yellow and pale orange and is used as an ornamental plant in many countries.
Here are some photos of how it’s growing so far.
I didn’t realize that the fruit contained two seeds so I ended up with two plants growing side by side.

Hello, how did you plant the seed? I’m planning to do the same but don’t know how to proceed. Obviously you don’t cover it with soil? Have the ones you planted “grown up”?

Hi!
I believe I put a thin layer of soil over it but we had some heavy rain that washed it off.
I ended up giving all of them away because they got a little too big for the space I have.
One of them I get to see often and it’s about 5 feet tall still growing in a plant pot and it send out flowers every now and then. I will try to get a photo of it and post it soon.
