‘Shan’s Yellow’ Cassava – Manihot esculenta

Description

Sweet buttery yellow cassava variety. Originally from India and grown in Florida by our friend Shan and her family. High yields especially when grown with mulch and planted in March/April. This cassava variety has a sweet flavor an seems to cook faster than other varieties especially the white kind. We consider this our favorite root crop. More information on our Blog.

If you plant cassava during cooler months its development may be slowed down and the yield will not be substantial. If you order cuttings during these months we suggest growing those plants as mothers from which you can obtain new planting material for when the nights and days are warmer.

4-6 cuttings (5″-7″) depending on thickness available throughout different seasons
