Tiny Damselfly On My Finger - The Aurora Bluetail (Three Macro Photos)

This is the smallest Damselfly I've seen. It's about 23mm in length. I got some help to ID this one. It turned out to be a female Aurora Bluetail (Ischnura aurora). Despite it's name, the females don't have a blue tail. According to Wikipedia, this species is found from Pakistan and India. down through South-east Asia and Indonesia, to Australia and the Pacific Islands. It first time I've see one here at home. In fact looking at the "Atlas of Living Australia" web site, it seems to be the only record along my part of the coast.

This one landed on a family member and ended up in the house. It then flew toward the light of the window. It seemed happy to crawl onto my finger allowing me to get a shot. I also got a few shots of it on a Rush stem (Juncus sp.)before letting it go.
