  • Description: Creeping herbs. Leaves simple opposite, orbicular or broadly ovate to reniform. Flowers yellow, solitary or in few-flowered umbels. Berry globose, scarlet; seeds plano-convex.

  • Habitat: Semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests, also in sacred groves
