Natural History: The Guttatus Mustard Tang is found schooling on clear seaward reefs. It favors surge zones and is a strong swimmer.
Husbandry: Only one Guttatus Mustard Tang should be housed in an aquarium because it is territorial with its own species. It is not territorial with other unrelated species and may be picked on by aggressive species. Its spine is venomous, and this fish should be handled with care. The Guttatus Mustard Tang is considered one of the hardier tang species.
