Natural History: The Twinspot Coris is found over rock and sand bottomed lagoons and slopes. It is large enough to grasp and flip rocks in search of benthic foods. It will bash some prey species against rocks to break them open and eat them. It is very resistant to Cryptocaryon (ich) and Amyloodinium (velvet) parasites. It is an opportunistic predator and will feed on a variety of invertebrate prey species.
Husbandry: Adult Twinspot Coris may be aggressive toward other species of tankmates. It grows to a very large size and should be housed in nothing smaller than a 180 gallon aquarium. It will require more space when it reaches its final size. It will eat nearly any food offered, including ornamental shrimp and small fish.
