Oreocereus Celsianus

The Oreocereus Celsianus or "Old Man of the Andes" cactus is native to the Andean Mountain Range in South America.  This Hairy columnar cactus is armed with thick spines under a blanket of white hair.  Growing to a height of 10' in it's natural habitat and branching from the bottom to become a cluster of towering old men, a must have for any collection.  Although very cold hardy columnar and most are not, keep above 20F and if possible bring them indoors or protect them below 40F.  

Use a gritty soil amendment with your organic cactus mix.
