Lycopodiella cernua (L.) Pic. Serm., Webbia 23: 166 (1968).

Description

Pieces of stems of this lycopod are occasionally encountered in potpourri. They have closely appressed, tiny leaf-like microphylls, 2-4 mm long x 0.2 mm wide, spirally arranged, with hairs 0.2-0.5 mm long infrequently along the leafy bases. Plants may be nearly 1 m tall, but cut stems in potpourri are about 2-15 cm long.

Nativity and distribution

Lycopodiella cernua is pantropical, found in Asia and South America.
