Is my Tyrion variegated or sick?
Please tell me that my Tyrion is variegated, and does not have Dasheen Mosaic Virus 😳😱🥺…it’s the only leaf that looks like that, the petiole even looks like it has some variegation in it…none of my other plants are declining either, or sending out deformed leaves. Is this the same as elephant ear? I have one that keeps losing leaves after they turn yellow, then another one comes out. But I don’t want to keep losing leaves and I don’t know what to do
@GracedCapnoides yes it’s a tyrion alocasia plant and alocasias drop leaves occasionally when new growth emerges. Don’t cut any of the dying stems until the plant is finished using all the energy from that stem and leaf. Once it browns then gently remove that leaf. @mal9 the lighter colored markings are turning back to the dark green color now slowly but surely I’m thinking it was harmed someway on its way out of the stem it emerged from 🤷🏾♂️ none of my other plants have shown any sign of disease or anything and it’s been right next to my other plants, so maybe it’s just a weird leaf lol we will find out if the next leaf coming from this one is the same or not. 🤞🏾
@Keyandre87 thanks! I will quit trimming those leaves off that seem to be on their way out. I guess like tulips you have to let them die of. Makes sense.
