About Codiaeum Variegatum
These sparkly specimens are a great choice for anyone looking to light up a room. They require abundant light to maintain their bright colors, and new leaves may loose their sparkle over time in low light so be sure theyâre able to soak up the sun! âď¸ All parts of this plant are toxic, so keep them well out of reach of pets and children!

This finicky little thing is covered in spider mites. Iâve been recovering from surgery for the last 10 days so I havenât been able to check on him. They popped up so fast! I just sprayed him with neem oil. Any other advice? #Croton #spidermites

Thin and most of the branches are bare, with leaves bunched only in the âcanopyâ and now leaves yellowing rapidly and falling off, heeelp I did repot my gold dust crotos a couple of days ago, it may have gotten a shock. Now i found curled up leaves under the canopy of still green leaves. Soil is not soggy, possibly a bit damp for a inch deep. I dont find any pests till now. Its on my balcony and summer starting here in dubai, temperatures rising. Its und the pergola , no direct sunlight . What am i doing wrong? đ

Droopy Gold Dust Croton My croton is drooping but its soil feels moist still (though not completely soaked). Do you think this is from under watering or over watering? Itâs in a Southwest window, near a humidifier. Thank you!

My plant is in a 4 inch pot, when I go to replant, what size pot should I put her in? #Codiaeum

My Croton has looked amazing since Iâve gotten it but suddenly itâs going limp and some leaves are drying up and falling off. Nothings changed. Same location and watering cycle. Any thoughts? Thanks! #Codiaeum

What other plant parents say
This thing is such a baby. Overnight after a few days since watering Iâll wake up to the leaves completely drooling down. After a little water it springs back up within a few hours. I love that itâs a low light thriving plant. As long as you catch those droopy leaves in time and leave it in full/partial shade it will be fine
This is my husbandâs project. He loves houseplants with colors. Crotons are not in my wheelhouse. Somehow weâve managed to keep Croter happy/ish. The leaves do brown. But we have kept it watered, fertilized twice with liquid fertilizer and just let this guy be. Beautiful foliage, all the colors of fall⌠fingers crossed on its survival through winter.
This baby just died so quickly on me. It got root rot SO easily and so quickly there was no saving it. Whatâs left of it is in water trying to grow stronger roots, but it is just a white stick with no leaves. One of the most concerning plant deaths as I just donât know how I went wrong! Be wary and experienced with this one!
