#MingAralia Discussion

Hi everyone’s, My name is Tracy, my husband passed away recently and he’s had this Ming in his family for 100 years he received it from his mom in 1972. This plant means a lot to my family, I don’t know much about growing plants, he was the one with the green thumb. I’m just wondering if it’s healthy looking, because the leaves in the middle are dry and fall off but not too many and there’s a few leaves that are tinted yellow. I also would love some recommendations for fertilizer, and how do I change the dirt, I don’t want to hurt the plant or have it develop root rot or shock. Attached below is some of the instructions he posted but I don’t know if that’s necessarily healthy for the plant. Any help or tips would be appreciated Thank you #beginner #help #MingAralia

New to the plant community, need tips

Hey Plant friends! This beauty just arrived yesterday. She is looking a little sad. She got a healthy water upon arrival. I have never cared for her kind before. Is there anything I should know? Anything to watch for?

Does anyone know what is going on with my baby plant? 😢

Why is my plant turning yellow? I water it every week once a week I’m just not sure what’s going on . PLEASE HELP !!

mine died

I just received it in the mail today..in opening it was wrapped in bubble wrap all around it plus it had a package heater thing but my ming tree is in rough shape..all branches and leaves are wilted..

Yellowing Leaves

This is my bright light corner. Up in the hanger you will spot a wild Hermes. When I first got him I thought we were gonna lose him. Dropping branches left and right. I wanted to give hime some peace in this cute hanger to live out the rest of his life. But he LOVES it up there. And has lots of beautiful new branches. Meanwhile Sir.Hiss in the back (snake plant) is suffering from neglect.

Not happy plant.
