When to water again after root rot? I noticed this morning that my little Sago was looking yellow. Today was supposed to be watering day so I probed the soil and it was reading wet. I unpotted him and found early stages of root rot. I cleaned out all the soil, pruned the roots and put him into an orchid pot with a mix of orchid and succulent soil (to increase circulation). I also sprayed down the remaining roots with Cpt. Jack’s fruit tree spray and left it to dry before repotting. I’m hopeful it willl be okay. I’m not sure how well Sago’s usually are at recovering but the trunk isn’t at all squishy so I have hope. How long should I wait before I water? I don’t want to overwater but also I took him all the way down to bare roots and let him dry out then put him in dry soil. Attempting rehabilitation on this palm that was given to me. It seems to be staying steady and hasn’t lost more green than you see (even though it’s pathetic looking). Anyone have advice for this?
