Shampoo ginger rhizomes, harvested fresh for every order. Shampoo Ginger Rhizomes are both able to offer shampoo when planted from their pink conifer bloom, or when the root is eaten, they provide healing ability to the gastric system.
Zingiber zerumbet Shampoo Ginger has its name due to its thick clear fluid and has been widely used as a substitute for shampoo in Asian countries. It also makes a great landscape plant and cut flower.
A basel green cone is produced in Summer with creamy white flowers. At the end of the bloom the cone turns red.
This plant can survive in Zones 7-11 comfortably; and due to its short season (Spring to Summer) and yearly dormancy (Fall to Spring) these plants can be grown in a pot and grown anywhere.
