Achyranthes aspera (Chaff Flower) is a species of shrub in the family Amaranthaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Caatinga, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, Bahia, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Rio De Janeiro, and Espirito Santo. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 1.6 m.
