Marbled Dragonet

Synchiropus ocellatus

Greenish to brownish with spotted camouflage pattern. Fine blue dots on the head. End of the gill lid has small “plaques” in blue-white-ochre.

Size : 7 cm

Habitat : On sand and rubble, shallow are to about 25 m. Alone or in small, loose groups.

Distribution : East Indonesia to SW Japan, the Philippines, Micronesia, GBR and French Polynesia.
