Would Alternanthera Brasiliana be considered an invasive weed in central west coast Florida?
It volunteered in our yard and is growing quickly. We don't want it taking over despite it's prettyness.
We know it goes to seed and don't want it taking over. We have enough weeds as it is.
Attached are two pictures, one for the purple color and one for the flowers. Ours is a combination of the two.
Thanks for your response.

Hi, I checked our IFAS Assessment website and it lists that plant https://assessment.ifas.ufl.edu/assessments/alternanthera-brasiliana/ as Brazilian joyweed and has concluded that it is predicted to be invasive and not recommended by IFAS. You were very observant to ask about its invasiveness potential!
