FS Acro Sarmentosa
Up for sale is an acropora sarmentosa. The coralite growth structure is very unique. These frags came from a wild aussie acropora. Colors are teal with a hint of yellow with red polyps. Multibranch frags 1”. I am going to call these guys Key Lime Sarmentosa.

I have had the mother colony around 2 months. What is interesting is that this wild colony is doing much better than my previous marine cultured. Just from my own opinion but the marine cultured are usually grown in shallow area, have strong lighting, and high flow. This in turn allows for very little error, if you don't match the old parameter exactly they tend to go south quickly. This Aussie colony has been more forgiving and has colored up nicely.

Agree, maricultured from the videos I've seen and research I've done, are grown in waters where the farmers can just snorkel or free dive down to, but low enough and far enough out so the tide changes do not affect them. I think that might be one reason they tend to brown out when introduced to our captive systems, cuz they are so used to high light from the sun in the open waters of the shorelines. Aside from the dramatic change in stability, oxygen levels and water volume of course, lol. But then again, brown corals are still healthy, and much more than lighter or paled out corals. All in my minimally educated opinion of course.
Sorry, a bit off topic, but I just wanted to agree with dvetran on the higher light thoughts

If by frag swap you mean the frag farmer, then yes.

Bump. I own a piece of this. That said, this piece is awesome. Definitely the best coral in my tank. Colors are amazing and growth pattern is unique. Pics do it no justice.

If Dave has any left, grab it. As he states awesome growth pattern. I did find one like this at battlecorals for a hefty price!
