Black mithrax? Reef safe?
Had this guy hitch hike in on a finger leather a while back, was about 1/4 inch across when I found him and he has been in the sump ever since. I'm fairly certain he is a black mithrax now that he has grown up . Are they reef safe, or as reef safe as say ruby or emerald crabs or is he better off with a life in the fuge?
Its been a chore trying to get any sort of picture because whenever he has himself in a very visible spot I never have a camera with me and by the time I get it he usually has moved.

Hi Jared!
Yes, they are reef safe. I donīt have any problems with them in a all the years. Your black mithax should be an Chlorodiella nigra like this (my own crab).
