Found in Borneo, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Nuie, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Wallis and Santa Cruz Islands alongside creeks at elevations of 300 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate, flexuous , densely leafy stem enveloped completely by imbricating, leaf sheath bases carrying distichous, erect-patent, narrowly falcate-lanceolate, acute, fleshy leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, terminal, thin, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence
