Only recently recorded new to Nottinghamshire, when a
single specimen was found underneath a plant pot stood on bark
chippings and located underneath a number of large conifers at a Mapperley garden
centre in late November 2022. Second
and third county recordS came with several immature specimens found at a
Worksop garden centre in April 2023, then at another garden centre at
Epperstone in October 2023.
This
species is believed to have originated from East Asia and has obviously
been imported via the horticultural trade. Across the UK, there are a
number of records from plant nurseries and garden centres running up
through central parts of the UK, but it is largely thought not to be
able to survive outdoors during the Winter months. |
